St. German's organ was a gift from the Rev'd Francis Nugee, the Assistant Priest at the time, and cost £1,000 (!). It was used for the first time on St. German's Day, October 1st 1885. In 1990 the hand bellows were replaced by an electric blower. The organ's case was designed by Bodley, a specialist in interior painting and it was restored to its original splendour in 2002. The Latin inscription you can see are the first words of Mary's Magnificat - My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord.

We have two organists - Mr Brian Williams, who has served in St. German's for over 45 years, and Assistant Organist Mr Gary Mullins, who will normally assist at services other than on Sundays.
We hope to expand our choir and if you are at all interested - Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass - please speak to the Vicar, Brian or Gary. Your Church Needs You!
